1.    A drained battery should be recharged as quickly as possible. The longer a battery sits in the discharged state, the higher the chance of the battery sulphating. 2.    proper polarity when charging the battery  is very  important and should be carefully observed. If the car battery is reverses and polarity placed wrongly when connected, then the battery can  be easily damaged, or may even explode.

3.    Always check the car  battery before charging to ensure it has not gotten damaged while you were using it. Damaged batteries usually give off hydrogen gas or battery acid while being recharged. This can the result in serious  damage to you or car.
